Meet Gavin Harris - NES’s CEO
Born and bred in Southland, Gavin’s electrical career began 29 years ago with the local Municipal Electricity department here in Invercargill. He then furthered his electrical qualifications to become an Electrical Inspector and today his experience encompasses power line building, 11Kv/400 Volt cabling, alternative electrical generation and all facets of Industrial, commercial and domestic electrical.
Gavin became CEO of NES in 1995 and strives to make NES a company any Southlander can be proud of and outside of his busy work schedule he also is a member of a Toastmasters Club and the Institute of Directors, NZ.
Gavin is married to Angela, has 2 daughters and is a proud grandfather. He loves keeping fit and outdoor activities including hunting and fishing.

Meet Stephen Bottlik, Electrical Foreman
Steve was born in Dunedin and moved to Invercargill a year later and has been living here since.
He had an interest in electronics in his teenage years which led to an interest in all things electrical. He started an apprenticeship with the Invercargill City Council Water Department which eventually incorporated the Drainage and Sewage Departments along with the care of the ICC flats. Steve has been an employee of NES for seven years.
Steve has a very wide and varied range of experience in the Industrial field of maintenance.
Steve is married to Tania and has three children. He has interests in Italian automobiles and also in Breeding/Conformance showing of the Papillon breed of dog.
NES maintains the runway lighting at the Invercargill Airport.
